About

Elliot Bostick is a self-taught artist who lives in New York . He works in data analytics during the day and paints during the night.

He is truly passionate about bringing his paintings to life.

Each painting takes around 40 hours to create, requiring dedication and attention to detail. He created his style specifically to maximize the meditative, healing nature of painting. The compositions of his artwork are influenced by scenes from his life.

His style for every painting involves painting outlines in Van Dyke brown then filling in the first layer with warm colors before layering cooler colors on top. His paintings wrap around the edges so he recommends that these works hang unframed! This creates a vibrant and electric feel.

Elliot has been building on a cohesive and unique vision influenced from a combination of French impressionism, Japanese woodblock prints, and Tibet Buddhist sand mandalas.

He loves art and is a frequent visitor of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City. He also loves making music, cooking food, and running in Central Park.
